What are the benefits of power washing?

Professional power washing keeps your property’s exterior in tip-top shape and dramatically improves its appearance. It not only cleans away dirt and grime, but effectively removes mold, mildew and other organic substances that may cause damage to your home.

How often should my home’s exterior be cleaned?

All major siding manufacturers recommend a thorough cleaning every 12 to 24 months. Removing mold, moss, algae and other substances will ensure your siding does not deteriorate.

Why can’t I power wash my home myself?

Sure, you can purchase your own power washer at a local Home Depot or Lowe’s, but it won’t perform nearly as efficiently and effectively as professional power washing equipment. More important, in using such store-bought equipment, you could do more harm than good, potentially causing damage to your home or injury to yourself.

Aren’t all power washing companies alike?

There are a number of fine companies that perform power washing services, but there are many others that do it as a sideline; some use inferior equipment, and others may not be that reliable. Professional residential power washing is the only service we provide.

What’s the difference between pressure washing and power washing?

There’s no difference; just different terms for the same service.

Why can’t you give me a quote over the phone?

Every home is different, plus homes come in all shapes, sizes and conditions. The same is true for decks, driveways, roofs, patios and walkways. That’s why all our estimates are done on-site, ensuring you a fair and accurate quote, and giving you a complete understanding of the specific power washing services we will provide.

Are your products safe for my property, plants and animals?

Yes. All cleaning solutions are safe, biodegradable and will not cause any harm to your home, vegetation or pets.

I need my roof cleaned, doesn’t power washing damage roof shingles?

In the wrong hands, power washing can indeed damage your roof shingles, but at Precision Powerwashing, we use a soft roof washing and a lightly applied cleaning solution. You’ll see the results immediately, as if you had a brand new roof installed.

What are these green stains on my siding and can they be removed?

Most often, mold is the cause of green stains but are easily removed with our professional power washing equipment and cleaning solutions.

Why are there black streaks on my gutters? Can they be removed?

Black streaks on gutters are caused by oxidation in their painted surfaces. Together with our soft washing technique and the right cleaning solution they can be completely removed.

Will my deck need to be re-stained after power washing?

In the case of synthetic decks, which are designed for long-lasting durability, no staining will be needed. With wood decks, however, you’ll find the wood to be significantly lighter (and of course, cleaner), so it will be up to you if you’d like your deck re-stained.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Precision Powerwashing is a New Jersey state-licensed contractor and is fully insured.

Will cleaning in any way damage the paint on trim or siding?

No. Because we use the Soft Washing technique there is no risk of damage to paint, trim or siding.

What areas of New Jersey do you service?

We serve homeowners in Hunterdon, Morris, Somerset, Sussex, Warren, Union and Middlesex Counties.

What type of payment do you accept?

Check or cash.

What is Soft Washing?

The Soft Washing technique is today’s preferred method for cleaning home exteriors, but many power washing companies still don’t offer it. Soft Washing still relies on power washing equipment, but relies on a lower PSI (pounds per square inch) rate that eliminates the potential for the kind of damage that high pressure can easily cause. Combined with our powerful but safe, environmentally-friendly cleaning solutions, soft power washing achieves fantastic results.

Do you use hot water or cold water for washing?

In almost all cases, cold water washing is the preferred cleaning method. There are occasions when hot water may need to be used, and we’ll let you know at the time of your estimate if that will be the case.
